【バンコク支局】米女優ミア・ファローさん（６２）がカンボジアの首都プノンペンで２０日、アフリカのスーダン西部で続くダルフール紛争に関し、中国政府がスーダンでの「住民虐殺」に間接的に加担しているとして、抗議デモを行った。ＡＰ通信などが伝えた。
ファローさんは、米民間活動団体（ＮＧＯ）「ダルフールの夢」に参加。同ＮＧＯは、中国がスーダンの石油開発利権と引き換えに同政府に武器を供与しているとして批判しており、デモは約１０人で行われた。
中国はかつて、カンボジアで大量虐殺を行ったポル・ポト政権を支援していたことから、プノンペンのツールスレン虐殺博物館近くで、中国への非難の意思表示を行ったとみられる。
