雲南省の昆明市公安局は同日、事件への関与が疑われる、バス乗客が持っていたとの情報があるとして、「雲南龍生緑色産業有限公司」のプーアール茶の手提げ袋を公開し、情報の提供を呼びかけた。
昆明市公安局は、公安省の応援も受け、数人一組で街中の巡回にあたるなど、事件解明に全力を挙げている。しかし、事件発生が出勤時間より早く、目撃者は多くないようだ。犯行声明もなく、北京五輪との関連も不明なことから、捜査は容易でなさそうだ。
